Bergdorf Goodman windows

During the new year my family went to New York for 2 weeks (Ah - mazing) On our first day there (we had spent the night in LA) we met up with our friends (one of them is the writer of http://busybeingfabulous.typepad.com/) at the Plaza Hotel home of Eloise and the hotel in Home Alone 2. Anyway on our way to Juicy Couture we went past the Bergdorf Goodman windows and here are some pictures I took! (Bergdorf Goodman was were Rhianna bought one of her dresses btw) Zee

Shoes

It's Em here talking to you about the world of fashion. Today I'm gonna talk to you about SHOES! One thing we all wear are shoes. High heels, runners, ballet flats, sneakers, Connies, boots, wellies (or wellingtons),the list goes on and on, gladiators, ravens, volleys , moccasins, etc. My fave shoes are High heels. Most women wear high heels to work, clubs, parties, any where really. Some even wear them to the beach! One bad thing about high heels are if you have been wearing them every day, or for a very long time (as in years) they can derange your feet (stump their growth). So I'm guessing we should save high heels for special occasions. One other great shoe is the Connie, or Converse, sneaker. Everyone has a pair! Connies come in different shapes, sizes and most importantly, COLOURS!
You can buy high-tops or just the normal Connie.
I know most people like the glittery Converses or the more traditional plain red Connies Who doesn't love a good Converse Sneaker?

Just a quickie but this is my softie that I made for school (Design Technology - kind of like textiles). It took me hours but it was worth it! Its name is blanket bunny and its made of polar fleece, felt and vintage materials. XoXo Zee

Sydney!

Hello people of the earth,
It's Em here bringing fashion from the streets of... SYDNEY!
It's so beatiful here, and the shops are really good!
Two shops that stood out was Incu and Top shop (they are the same shop, just Top shop is on top - haha.)
Sydney fashion is interesting, it's like Melbourne fashion but with more people walking round in bikini's and board shorts.
Vintage stores in Sydney are fab! I scored some timeless peices by top designers all under 50 dollars!!!
One thing thats really big this season is you gussed it- BOWS ( i know Zee loves these!)
Skinny bows, big bows, small bows, tall bows, every bow is different!
You can mainly see them on head bands, on clips and on hats. All in all bows are Very cool!!

Fantastic Windows

I have to admit these windows are really something.
The Bergdorf Goodman windows are spectacular (beat that Myer!) When I went to NY in the Summer holidays one of the windows was entirely made out of paper!

Millenary

Hey people of the world,

It's Em here, bringing fashion live to all of you out there. this week is all about Millenary, or hats.

Something thats VERY BIG in the world of fashion is beanies. I know most people (cough,cough, me) own numerous amounts of beanies. There usually sported in your favorite TV shows, such as Gossip Girl or the City. You can pretty much see at least twelve at any shopping center, but the thing is, people aren't just wearing them in Winter, there wearing them in Summer. It's fun wearing Summer things in Winter and Winter things in Summer, but maybe this has gone too far. Another big trend in FASHION SHOWS is hats that are over the top (and when i say over the top, i seriously mean it.) You see these kinds of hats in shows like Alexander Mc Queen and the 2009 Royal ascot fashion show. Some of these hats are so BIG you can't see the peoples faces!!!

- busy being fabulous is a great site by a family friend who is a stylist - check it out!

- the sartorialist is a really good blog if your into fashion around the world.

- the Harajuku lovers fragrance (by Gwen Stefani) site is really awesome, although it takes a while to load the result is worth it - with ultra cool graphics it is a rad site!

- stardoll is an online game for younger readers. You make your own avatar, dress it up and decorate your suite. The only bad thing about the site is that you have to pay to get really good clothes but I think its worth it. At the moment stardoll is also have a Harajuku lovers fragrance campaign (to celebrate the release of the new summer editions) so you can get free swimsuits (there actually really cute) by going on the site.

- if your into anime style games this is the site for you! The games are really cute and colourful.
